Pizza Napoletana – and arguably one of the best in Zurich. The restaurant has gone through several name changes (formerly San Gennaro and Da Pone), but the most important thing has stayed the same: the outstanding quality of the food and the warm, welcoming team.

Cuisine

Guests can watch the pizzaioli at work – just like in Naples. The flour for the pizza dough is a custom blend and is milled at the Swissmill directly across the street. The dough rests for 48 hours before the pizzas are baked quickly at around 500°C, resulting in a light, airy crust and topped with high-quality ingredients such as selected San Marzano tomatoes. The recipe for the Margherinara has even received awards.

Ambience / Details

The restaurant has around 170 seats and several different rooms. The winter garden can be a bit lively acoustically, so guests who are sensitive to noise may prefer sitting in another area. In summer, the outdoor seating with a view of the Limmat is particularly lovely.

  • Pizza Margherinara & Pizza Funghi e Coppa
  • Straccetti – similar to churros made from pizza dough, served with chocolate and pistachio cream
