The most beautiful restaurant terraces in Zurich 2026 – my personal favourites

As soon as temperatures rise, Zurich truly comes alive outdoors. Few cities offer such a diverse selection of restaurant terraces: hidden inner courtyards with fountains, Mediterranean-style gardens, green rooftop terraces or classic beer gardens beneath large plane trees.
Whether right in the city centre or slightly outside, I’ve curated my personal favourite spots where great food, atmosphere and summer vibes come together perfectly. Every restaurant on this list has been personally visited and tested by me.

On this page, you’ll find my favorite terrace restaurants in Zurich, sorted and briefly explained.
